Well met! NumbArms here. You may refer to me as “ Narm ”. With our world still plagued by a virus-of-unspecified-origin, it is a necessity for us to stay indoors and keep our sanity levels stable and ourselves intact.

And what better way to numb the pains of daily living with our daily dose of anime. So here are some of the recent anime news and potential views for the month of April brought to you by yours truly :

The World Ends with You The Animation Cover

Based on an action role-playing game of the same name, also known as Subarashiki Kono Sekai ( It’s a Wonderful World ) in Japan, developed by Square Enix and Jupiter for the Nintendo DS back on July 2007.

An anime adaptation of it was teased back on the 25th of June 2020, then later officially announced on the 3rd of July 2020. Slated for 12 episodes and premiered worldwide on the 10th of April 2021 through Funimation. A joint production between Square Enix, DOMERICA, and Shin-Ei Animation, it features urban fantasy themes with a sorta battle royale kind of plot.

If you are a fan of games like the Persona or Kingdom Hearts series, then I guess it would be worth a gander.

2. Combatants Will Be Dispatched! Gets Animated

From the same Creator that brought us Konosuba, Natsume Akatsuki, comes another form of EVIL. Combatants Will Be Dispatched! ( Sentoin, Hakenshimasu! ) started out as a light novel with six volumes published sometime on November 2017.

Its anime adaptation produced by Kadokawa and animated by J.C. Staff, aired on the 4th of April this year, slated for 12 episodes, with its second episode already released last April 11.
